This week on Mai Tai Happy Hour, Hambone and I review Elizabeth Moss’ latest wacky film, Shirley, in which plays a famed horror write Shirley Jackson towards the end of her life. Moss goes full crazy in this one and I have a ton of thoughts. We also review VFW, a movie that should have been Green Room meets The Expendables, but instead it’s a pseudo zombie movie with senior citizens. I’ve got nothing.

AMC just had its quarterly earnings call, and the future doesn’t look bright for America’s biggest movie theater chain. They are planning on opening up for business mid-July and Hambone and I have a lot of concerns about going back to the movies. What will the theaters of the near future look like? We try to figure it out.

Finally, Hambone explains why we need a third Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and where they fit into the pantheon of oddball, rocker duos like Beavis and Butthead and Wayne and Garth. All that, and Hambone teaches us how to make Undertow’s take on the El Diablo.
