This week on Mai Tai Happy Hour, Hambone and I review the latest superhero mega-movie on Netflix, The Old Guard and share our thoughts on why immortals always turn out to be mercenaries, vampires or villains and never just dudes that lie on the couch, watching bad TV and eating bacon for eternity.

We also take a look back at a brilliant soundtrack from the ’90s that fostered collaboration between legendary and indie rock and hip-hop artists like Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, Ice-T, Boo-Yaa Tribe and Cypress Hill. We ponder its place in music history and its legacy and influence on modern music.

Hambone reviews Warrior Nun, another comic book adaptation that takes an unusual and badass concept — kickass woman who happens to be a nun — who is tasked with whooping the butts of demons that are trying to take over Earth. If you like that kind of stuff, this is for you.

Also, Hambone is watching Supermarket Sweep. I don’t even know where to go with this.
