Star Wars: The Last Jedi caused way too much excitement (and negativity) to contain one segment, so we devoted an entire episode of Mai Tai Happy Hour to the latest installment of the Star Wars saga. In one corner, we have Hambone and his buddy Adam Bird, two hardcore Star Wars fans that loved The Last Jedi. In the other corner, we have original trilogy purist Ken “Kursse” Lucas who thinks the new movie is a giant dumpster fire. I’m stuck in the middle pondering what the hell is up with the ice puppies. We are going to take a deep dive into the most polarizing film in the Star Wars canon and give our true feelings without ever using the phrase “because it’s Star Wars.”
But that’s not all. We will also talk about when and why we fell in love with Star Wars, what we think of Disney’s treatment of the films since it bought Star Wars for $4 billion from George Lucas and where we think the franchise is heading in the next decade. Also, Month of Punch continues with a Star Wars themed punch courtesy of Hambone.
