The Mai Tai Happy Hour Punk Rock Canon continues this month with our latest nomination — “GI” by the legendary Germs. We get down and dirty as to whether the snottiest punk record of all time deserves to enter the illustrious annals of punkdom or whether “GI” is really the drizzle shits.
Meanwhile Hambone continues to review the movies you will never spend money on and this time he took on Mission Impossible: Fallout. Hear his thoughts on the latest Tom Cruise Scientology recruitment video and whether you should go see it. We also touch on the crazy mess that is MoviePass and ponder whether it will survive another week.
Last week was a big week for me. I finally broke down and started watching the Harry Potter movies. Real talk — the first movie is pretty boring. Hambone explains why I should continue watching them, even though the first two movies sucked.
Finally, we discuss the news that Mark Hamill and Billy Dee Williams will be back for Star Wars Episode IV. As is Carrie Fisher, who supposedly shot enough footage before she died to justify including her in the final film. I don’t know how to feel about this, but we try to make sense of this regardless.
