Hi, I'm George
Rock & Roll Wedding Photographer • Tiki Collector • Vintage Motorcycle Aficionado • Aging Punk Rocker
Cult of George began way back in 1995 as a photocopied fanzine called Life In A Bungalo. I wanted to create an outlet for aspiring writers, photographers and musicians, and focus on the amazing punk rock scene springing up in the Northern New Jersey area. Life In A Bungalo survived as a print publication until ad revenue dried up in the early 2000s. In 2002, the magazine moved to the web and focused its coverage to rock & roll, underground (urban) art, and punk photography.
Today, Cult of George serves as a home for my punk rock photos, reviews, musings and is ground zero for Mai Tai T.V., a weekly pop culture livecast covering everything from punk rock to wrestling to video games. I still occasionally take portrait and live photography commissions from unsigned bands (or you can hire me to shoot your wedding), but for the most part, this site is a place for me to bitch and moan about how much better music was 20 years ago.
