This was a mixed bag sorta week, as we reviewed a ton of movies and shows that looked awesome on paper, but many completely missed the mark. First up, The Djinn is a haunted-house horror film featuring a pre-teen boy suffering from the loss of his mother and his voice. He makes a deal with the devil and all hell breaks loose. We have thoughts.

Meanwhile, the godfathers of alterna-grunge, Dinosaur Jr., are back with a new album, Sweep it into Space, and it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. It’s so good to see J Mascis is still killing it during the pandemic. Our favorite OC star, Adam Brody, stars in an interesting new pseudo-noir film called The Kid Detective. It’s dark, funny and moody and we discuss whether it suffers by not picking a genre and sticking to it.

Then there’s Jupiter’s Legacy. Coming on the heels of Invincible, Netflix’s new superhero series misses the mark in every single way. We share a no-holds barred review, as well as quick thoughts on Those Who Wish Me Dead and we even unbox a new Rick & Morty box, because we are so psyched to be on the air. Check it out!
