Emmy-award winning horror editor Matt Giaquinto joins us to talk about the recent barrage of horror requels, including this week’s terrible reworking of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which was sold to us as the spiritual successor to the original, but falls terribly short. Scream also got a new spit polish for 2022 and fared a little better than TCM, but leans way more on being super meta, meta on top of meta. Meanwhile, Jim Lindberg from Pennywise released a solo album and it’s.a nice melding of Guided By Voices and Johnny Marr. Hambone doesn’t think it rocks enough.
