If you had asked me three years ago if I could make 100 episodes of anything I would have laughed. But here we are, episode 100 of Mai Tai Happy Hour and we’ve got a helluva a show in store for you. To celebrate, we’ve got our biggest guest to date, Frank Iero, of My Chemical Romance and Casual Interactions fame. Frank talks to us about his new project, Frank Iero and the Future Violents, what it’s like touring with kids at home, the art of muddling and what it’s keeps him creatively inspired.

We also kick off the new year with a new nomination for the Punk Rock Canon. This time, we’re arguing over whether Refused should gain entry into the Punk Rock New Testament with The State of Punk to Come. We go deep into why this record is timeless and how The Refused changed the face of punk and hardcore (even though they didn’t survive long enough to see what it would become).

Finally, we checked out the new Showtime documentary, Allin the Family, an inside look at the family members and bandmates GG Allin left behind after his timely death in 1993.
